my grandfather who has been dead for 37 years would not recognise the borganisation today.
he would turn in his grave if he knew the end didn’t come by 2023.. back in the 1970s he really believed in the 75 thing.
he was so disappointed and almost blamed everyone else why the end didn’t come.
The big problem is that very old doctrine was never meant to last this long.
my guess is at some point over the next few decades they will announce new light. They will probably do it gradually and the organisation will be unrecognisable compared to what it was a few decades ago.

They clearly cannot be true. The stories don't make sense. They miss out the motivation and rationality of the enemies.

4 Consider an example of Samson’s trust in Jehovah and of the support that God supplied. On one occasion, a Philistine military force had come to capture Samson at Lehi, evidently in Judah. The men of Judah were afraid, so they decided to hand Samson over to the enemy. Samson’s own people bound him securely with two new ropes and brought him to the Philistines. (Judg. 15:9-13) However, “Jehovah’s spirit empowered” Samson and he freed himself from the ropes. He then “found a fresh jawbone of a male donkey,” picked it up, and used it to strike down 1,000 Philistine men!—Read Judges 15:14-16.
5 Why did Samson use the jawbone of a donkey? It was an unconventional weapon, to say the least! No doubt Samson knew that his success depended on Jehovah, not on which weapon he used. Yes, this faithful man used what was available to him to accomplish Jehovah’s will. Clearly, as a result of his reliance on Jehovah, Samson was blessed with great success.
The Bible story of Samson truly is a Hollywood production. He is handsome, falls in love with beautiful Delilah, his hair makes him strong beyond human capabilities, kills a lion with his bare hands, brings down Colosseum concrete supports that kills himself and many others, and kills 1000 military men with a jawbone.
Ask yourself: Can one man really kill 1000 military men that are carrying swords, arrows, spears with brute numbers? Why didn't they throw their all their spears at him? Why didn't they surround him? Why didn't they attack him all at one time? How come Samson didn't get tired swinging the jawbone around?
I think that the Bible had better story productions than today's Hollywood script writers!

Did you daydream? Read a book, magazine? Take bathroom breaks? Walk to the back and stretch? Talk to some “friends” in the hallway?
I would bring my New Yorker Magazine and read the main article, while the Watchtower Meeting was being conducted.

I wonder where the people that attend the Crest Hill KH will go; that’s 3 congregations, and I believe this KH was built in 2010.
The closest KHs are Joliet and Plainfield (unless they decide to sell those).
I have attended the Crest Hill Kingdom Hall several times for a wedding and a funeral talk. The inside is modern and the outside sits in a beautiful rural setting. Must be sitting on several acres.
I will be seeing my cousin soon. Hopefully, he brings up that his Kingdom Hall is being deleted. I will play dumb and pretend I don't know anything about the Society closing the doors on all the congregations that attend this Kingdom Hall.
I will ask him several questions: Why is the Society closing the Kingdom Hall? Is it because the 3 congregations cannot pay the mortgage loans? What's going to happen to the property? Where will you be attending for your meetings? Are they planning on selling the property?

My cousin's Kingdom Hall is one of the 1300 that are being deleted. It is located in Crest Hill, Illinois. This beautiful property sits on at least 2 acres. There are 2 English speaking congregations and 1 Hispanic speaking congregation. Why are they being eliminated? Can all 3 congregations be behind on their monthly congregation expenses? If not, what are the reasons given from the Society as to why they are shuttering this Kingdom Hall down?
I'm going to keep an eye on this property if it ever comes up for sale!
i just found out from my jehovah's witness cousin that my old congregation is being shuttered due to lack of elders, less than 20 members attending, and that the congregation cannot meet their monthly expenses.. here is a congregation that was started in 1975 with less than 15 members.
it grew to 185 members in the 1990's.
the congregation grew so large that the elders decided to split the congregation in two.
